wordpress settings after installation is very hectic task for the wordpress beginner bloggers. Many of my friends often asked me about it. Today I have decided to share my wordpress experience, how doing wordpress general setting after installation. After wordpress blog setup, most of bloggers directly try to find some wordpress theme to make the appearance and look of their blog truly professional. Following are my suggestion for the new wordpress blogger after set up blog. These suggestion not only helpful for the new bloggers but also really good WordPress SEO purpose.
After complete Wordpress setup. Go to the admin panel of your Wordpress blog. On the left size you will see yourWordpress dashboard and here you can change the default permalink to custom permalinks. First of all you should change your Wordpress permalink setting. The default the Wordpress permalink setting is very bad for SEO purposes. You can see the below link of default Wordpress setting.
However, you can change your custom Wordpress permalink settings by choosing different inbuilt options. First go the Setting –>Permalink —>select Post name optionWordPress-Permalink-Settings
WordPress Threaded commentwordpress threaded comment
WordPress threaded comments enable you to keep on discussion on your blog comments. It came with Wordpress 2.7 as built-in features. You can easily enable Wordpress threaded comments by just login to your Wordpress admin panel –> Setting–> Discussion and then To check Threaded comment and uncheck Break comment.
Disable users registration
You can enable or disable WordPress user registration feature. Like me, right now I don’t want to enable user registration and I have disabled it. But if you allow guest posting then you enable it. To enable or disable user registration go to the setting –> General setting –> enable or disable it depending on your requirement.
Change wordpress Admin userwordpress-user
For security reasons always keep in kind don’t ever use word “admin” as username or password because these are very common can easily be attached. By default WordPress provides a login id as admin. You just need to create a new user account and give him admin rights and get rid of the default login id.
